FIRST INVITATION MESSAGE
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce that the 11th International Symposium on Machinery and Mechatronics for Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering (ISMAB 2024) will be held on September 25–27, 27-29 2024, in Bali, Indonesia. It is the first time since its inception that this symposium, which has been held in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, will be convened in Indonesia. The Japanese Society of Agricultural Machinery and Food Engineers (JSAM) hosts this symposium in cooperation with the Indonesian Society of Agricultural Engineering (ISAE), a member of the ASEAN Conference on Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering (ACABE).
This symposium will provide a valuable opportunity for scholars, researchers, engineers, industry professionals, and students to share research topics and results related to agricultural machinery, mechatronics and robotics, data-driven agriculture, biological systems engineering, post-harvest technologies, and next-generation food chains. The exchange of up-to-date information through this conference will contribute significantly to solving issues such as frequent extreme weather events, increasing world population, rapid changes in international conditions, and diversifying consumer needs.
Today, the Asian region plays a vital role in global food security as the food production base. It is extremely meaningful to meet together to look ahead to the future of agriculture by observing the beauty of nature and traditional agriculture in Bali. We do hope that this symposium will be fruitful for all of you and that you will make new friends and deepen friendships.
